Necessary Airsoft Equipment for Enjoyment and Safety
Airsoft is almost always played outside. There is a lot of equipment involved, and this equipment is critical to being good and safe on the arena of competition. So let’s just briefly go over some of the more common equipment kinds that you’ll need when you hit the airsoft arena.
The Tactical Vest
Not only keeping your chest, stomach and back from pain, the tactical vest can serve to keep your hands nearly free, while providing all the ammunition, side arms and whatever else you need for successful airsoft competition. Being able to hold flashlights, back up batteries, ammo, etc. can really come in handy.
Utilzing an Airsoft Face Mask
This is probably the most important protection piece of gear that is necessary for airsoft. The eyes are incredibly sensitive, and if you were to get hit in the eye, you could lose it. With many fully automatic and semi automatic airsoft guns out there, there is a high probability of taking on in the face, even if you are being cautious. A full face mask is what you really need, but if not, using goggles is an absolute minimum.
Other Airsoft Gear
If you haven’t already thought of them, here are some other common airsoft items that you should think about. You may want to accompany your airsoft gun with additional magazines are a favorite among many airsoft competitors, because being able to reload quickly is extremely important. Additional gas canisters and batteries will save you when your gun goes dry. If you are running a night mission, using night vision goggles, red dot lasers and flashlights can really help you out. You need to ensure that you have some good boots and fatigues so that you are comfortable and able to move on rough ground in your scenarios. You may even want some climbing gear if you are competing on really dangerous terrain.
